Briefly, IELTS academic is for students who wish to study abroad and IELTS General is just for immigration purpose. IELTS General will not be accepted by abroad universities for admission. And they differ in their sections of tests.
PTE Academic
Before booking the PTE exam slot, make sure to check the availability of test dates in your nearest test center.
Experts suggest that it is better to book the PTE test a minimum of 2 months before the university admissions, so that you can have the enough time for 2nd attempt if required.
PTE is a fully automated scoring test where all the scores will be awarded by machines only. One way PTE scores will be accurate and on the other hand, it is hard to understand. PTE scores will be awarded in the range of 10-90.
